a post on Viva Luxury with the most adorable bow t-shirt. I checked out the original, and with a $130 price tag, it was firmly out of my reach. But, I figured, hey! I can sew some bows on a shirt! And that's exactly what I did. Would you like to know how much it cost? Using a shirt I was going to get rid of and a new spool of ribbon, it was a mere $1.50!
To make your own, you will need:
- Ribbon in a complimentary color
- Thread to match your ribbon
Shape the ribbon into a bow (this is basically trial and error until it's even on both sides), but be sure you don't tie the bow too tight!
|This is too tight!|
|This is better :)|
Repeat the process, sewing the second bow about 2 inches directly below the first.
Finally, trim the ends of the bows to even them out.
Voila! I really like mine :) And I really like the price tag!
It's so cute! And so much more reasonable than the original one. Wow. Gotta love a good DIY!ReplyDelete
